Being born and brought up in a traditional priestly family of Kerala, I was fortunate to explore the vast treasure of knowledge hidden in Mantric and Tantric sciences and Astrology. The website, www.mantrikyantras.org which I started four years’ back is a result of an exhaustive research done on the various mystic yantras and Astrologic Science.

Question: - “What was your purpose behind publishing several articles on Astrology through your website www.mantrikyantras.org?”

Apart from the various other websites which offers free horoscopes, daily predictions, match-making and so on, my purpose is to give clear and compact remedial solutions for the questions which were asked by many devotees worldwide. The goal of my articles is to lead several devotees of the world from sorrow to joy and to enable them to forget their doubts and confusions regarding Spiritualism by clarifying these doubts in a most efficient way. I assure you that the knowledge portal developed by me will help you in analyzing the basic reasons for your problems which are caused by several negative and evil factors. I feel that it is more essential to identify the hidden reasons behind one’s problems rather than pondering over one’s evil fate.

Since I’m committed to spread this divine wisdom to many people, I want you all to know what astrology is; it’s relevance in our day to day life, how certain doshas (problems) may occur in our lives and so on. As it said, “A good tree bears good fruit and a bad tree bears bad fruit”, you can realize our worth and reliability through the fruitful results we produce.

In order to know how your destiny is tied with the celestial bodies, the first and foremost thing you need to really know is what Astrology is.

“Astrology is a belief which states that the relative position of the heavenly bodies can provide information about one’s personality and how his destiny is bonded to the movement of the planets. The movements of these celestial bodies can directly or indirectly affect the life of a man. The word Astrology is coined from the Latin term ‘astrologia’, which means the study of constellation (a group of celestial bodies). The various moments of happiness and sorrow that takes place in a man’s life are largely dependent upon the movement of these heavenly bodies. It is believed that the movement of the Sun, Moon and the planets represents the activities of gods and goddesses.”

The articles written by me deals with Indian Astrology and Tantra-shastra. It is believed that our preceptors might have developed the principles of Astrology in accordance with the favorable and unfavorable omens that existed long ago. For example, in olden days it was believed that the rise of the new moon in a cloudy sky was followed by victory over an enemy and this occurrence was treated as an omen for some kind of good fortune that is about to follow.

Question: - “Can you tell us some of the major questions or doubts raised by many of your readers?”

My readers used to raise several significant questions. But I would like to mention only a few questions here.

a) What is meant by doshas(problems in human life)? What are the different types of doshas? Can you suggest some remedies for these doshas?
b) Why am I not able to attain any benefits even after following certain remedial measures suggested by famous Astrologers?
c) “I had to undergo several bitter experiences from many Tantric-scholars and Astrologers. Whom should I rely and fall back upon for getting a remedy for my problems”?

d) “I have a strong faith in God. Then what is the need of doing certain rituals for getting a remedy for my problems”?
e) What is your opinion about the various fake activities happening around the world under the banner of Spiritualism?
f) “As a priest you are doing certain rituals for rectifying the problems of many people. Based on what criteria are you doing these remedial measures? Do you have the full confidence and hope that these devotees will get a fruitful result from all these rituals?”
g) “If one is born as a man, he is supposed to face happy and unhappy events and occurrences in his life. Then why should I believe in God or seek help and guidance from a priest like you”?
h) Does Black Magic exist?

These questions are answered below;

Question: - What is meant by doshas? What are the different types of doshas? Can you suggest some remedies for these doshas?

One has to face a lot of ups and downs in one’s life, right from his birth to death. The problems you face in your life due to certain reasons are called doshas.

Your success and failure depends upon your own approach and response to the various good things and bad things (gunas and doshas) that happens in your life. One has to undergo certain amount of hardship and effort to save oneself from the disastrous conditions which occur in one’s life. The remedial measures suggested by Tantric-science can only lead you to the path of success but the success solely rests in your hands. The most quoted English proverb can be mentioned here for the better conveyance of the idea. “One can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink.”

The Puranic Rishis and scholars has done a deeper analysis of the merits and demerits that occur in the life of man and have become successful in finding certain remedial measures for the removal of these doshas. These remedial solutions were found out by utilizing the various concepts of Astrology, Tantric and mantric sciences. Therefore one should necessarily try to find out the doshas that are bounded with him rather than worrying over one’s problems.

The different types of doshas are: -

a) Poorvajanma dosha (doshas of the previous birth)

Most of the fortunes and misfortunes that happen in our life in this birth is the result or the after-effect of the good and bad deeds done in our previous births. A sinner has to suffer the consequences of his evil and wicked deeds in the next birth. Our relation to our previous birth may act as a reason for the gunas and doshas we experience in this birth. Sometimes we would not be able to relish the Gunas contained in our horoscope due to the hindrances caused by the various doshas that surround us. So we should realize that one should do good deeds in this birth in order to cherish a favorable destiny in the next birth.

b) Kuladosha (doshas of a clan/community/family)

The community or the clan in which one is born assumes utmost significance. One should essentially follow the duties of the clan or the tribe in which one is born. The deeds and the wrong doings of one’s forefathers or ancestors can cause bad influence or negative impacts in one’s life. In simple words, the good deeds done by our forefathers may give us fortune in this birth and the sins committed by them may give us misfortunes in this birth. For example, a murder committed by a grand-father indirectly affects his grand-son. On the other hand, the blessings of our forefathers may help us in reaping success and victory in this birth. So one should respect and honor one’s parents and elders. If a son curses and tortures his father, he will face it’s consequence in the next birth and his future generations will also suffer because of his misdeeds. The holy Bible instructs that “One should respect one’s parents for attaining long life and prosperity and that is the first and the foremost commandment of God.”

c) Pithrudosha (doshas caused by forefathers or departed souls)

One has to undergo bitter experiences and misfortunes in one’s lifetime due to the doshas caused by one’s forefathers or departed souls. This is called Pithrudosha. When a person dies, his soul will leave his physical or material body and this departed soul of a person is called Pithru or Athma. A good and virtuous man will get a peaceful death and his soul will either merge with the paramatma or will enter into a new life after his death. Therefore, the sons or the relatives of a deceased person should do the necessary ceremonies and rituals for the peace and contentment of the departed soul. The departed souls of the wicked people, murdered ones, and those who had undergone an unnatural death will turn into evil spirits or ghosts. The souls of these people will cause harm to their future generations.

d) Karma dosha (evil consequences of human deeds)

One is vested with certain deeds or karmas as soon as he is born like obligation to one’s father, obligation to one’s guru and so on. According to the culture of India, one should show reverence to mother-father-guru-God (matha-pita-guru-eashwar). This means that God assumes a position only next to mother, father, and guru. Man is vested with certain karmas or deeds in every fields of his life. The one who fails to do these tasks will have to face its bad consequences in his lifetime and also in his next birth. Despising poor people, elders, God and one’s guru will cause evil consequences in one’s life.

e) Shatrudosha (doshas or harms caused by enemies)

Some evil people create harms to people whom they hate through wicked means like black magic and witchcraft. Problems or doshas caused by enemies are called Shatrudoshas. These cunning people achieve their purpose by worshipping evil spirits. Because of the black magic done by the sorcerers, people may suffer from sickness, physical deformity, unemployment, hatred from relatives, death, and paralysis.

f) Bhoomi dosha (doshas related to a land)

We know that the nature and structure of land is not same everywhere. If some regions are fertile, others might be dry and sterile. Some areas will be rich in water whereas, some will not. This is the direct knowledge which can be gained from the external structure of a land. Likewise, earth is an abode for several kinds of invisible powers. Forests were places of worship in olden days. Both good and evil spirits were adored and worshipped in different parts of the forests. Later these places were consumed by people for the construction of houses and buildings. The land may acquire either gunas or doshas in accordance with the forces worshipped there. The black magic and sorcery done in a particular place may cause negative or bad effects (doshas). Moreover, a house which is not constructed in accordance with the principles of Vasthushastra may also create harms or doshas to those residing in the house.

g) Sarpadosha (doshas caused by serpents)

In olden days, snakes were worshipped in many parts of India. Kerala is one among those states, which gave much importance to snake-worship. Groves and ponds were deliberately made as a place of residence for snakes, in those days. But as time went on, people started clearing those groves and gardens for their personal benefits and it resulted in sarpadoshas. Snake-bite is fatal and the curse of a snake may badly affect the members of the whole family.

h) Grahadosha (doshas caused by the position of the planets)

The doshas in the horoscope are called grahadoshas. It may also occur due to the unfavorable position of the planets.

i) Kaivishadosha (doshas caused by witchcraft)

These doshas are done with the aid of sorcerers. Some people use the help of sorcerers to take revenge upon their enemies. Dosha is done by invoking the spirit of evil forces on the people whom one hate. These people achieve their purpose through black magic. Doshas are also done by adding poison to food materials with the chanting of evil and negative mantras and offering it to one’s enemies.

Question: - What are the remedial measures which should be done to prevent these doshas?

The religious scholars and gurus in Kerala rectify the various doshas in human life with the help of the major principles of Astrology. ‘Ashtamangala prashna’ is the initial step taken by these gurus to identify the doshas that revolve around a person’s life. The doshas that trouble a devotee is also analyzed with the use of a book on Astrologic science called as ‘Prashnamarga’. The initial step of Ashtamangala prashna probes into the doshas in the life of a person with the use of kavadiprashna, thamboolaprashna, and swarnaprashna. The various doshas that are realized and revealed through the Ashtamangala Prashna is solved through various remedial measures like poojas, offerings, donations, and through the chanting of holy mantras.

As atonement for the cleansing of sins of the previous birth, remedies like donations, offerings and temple-visit could be done. For rectifying Kuladosha, remedies like charitable works, donations, religious poojas and sacrifices should be done.

For imparting peace to the departed soul of a person who has undergone an unnatural death, certain religious ceremonies and rituals should be done with the assistance of a priest. Firstly, the soul of the departed person is invoked through the power of mantras and it is made to attain salvation through the various poojas and prayers. The various poojas and offerings which are done for this purpose are sudarshanahoma, thilakahoma, sayoojyapooja, and dhwadhashanaamapooja.

Meditation, penance, temple-visit, and leading of a good life are the remedies which should be done for the atonement of Karmadosha.

We know that there are different types of Shatrudoshas. Before suggesting a remedy, one should initially identify the kind of Shatrudosha from which one is suffering. Mantric-rituals like mahasudharshana homa, aghorahoma, prathyangira homa, bagalaamukheehoma, shoolineehoma are the rituals that are done for absconding from the harms caused by Shatrudoshas (black magic). Sometimes due to the effect of black magic some people will also become mentally sick because of the spirits of evil powers infused into their bodies. In that case, a priest should recognize the type of evil spirit infused into the person’s body through Ashtamangala Prashna. Certain mantric rituals have to be done to cast off these evil spirits. For rectifying bhoomidoshas, the bondage of evil spirits to that particular land has to be broken with Mantric-rites and the doshas of the land has to be analyzed and observed with the aid of Vasthushastra.

As a remedy for Sarpadosha, the hindrance caused by the serpents has to be analyzed and the dosha should be invoked with the power of mantras and has to be offered to a temple with sarpa-pradishta (snake-worship).

As atonement for grahadosha, gems with remedial power should be worn and grahapoojas should also be conducted.

Thiruvizha Mahadeva kshethra is a temple in Kerala known for its power of removing Kaivishadosha. The poisoned food material taken in could be vomited here.

The doshas identified and observed through ‘Ashtamangala Prashna’ can be solved through the various remedies mentioned above.

Question: - “I had to undergo several bitter experiences from many Tantric-scholars and Astrologers. Whom should I rely and fall back upon for getting a remedy for my problems”?

One could find fraud people and fake activities in every fields of life. For every object or article, a duplicate or fake copy would be available in the market. In this new era, one might find fake doctors, engineers and so on. Likewise, there are fake astrologers and priests. Therefore one should take special precaution before approaching a priest or astrologer. One should have the retentive power to probe into the community, family background, the previous deeds done by the priest, and should also enquire whether his former clients had evil experiences. Remember none of the astrologers approaches you and it is you who approaches him. Experience or lesson from life should be given prior importance to advertisements.

Question: - What is your opinion about the various fake activities happening around the world under the banner of Spiritualism?

Tantra-Shastra consists of several elucidations. The one who studies it in a scientific way would be able to understand its full meaning. But the ignorant ones cast a different outlook to it and try to cheat ordinary people. The usage of ‘panchamakaras’ in Tantric science could be cited as an example. The Panchamakaras are alcohol, fish, meat, sex and seal. The nectar which oozes out of the sahasrarapadma of a yogi is compared to madyam or alcohol and is instructed to consume it. But some people give a wrong interpretation to this concept and uses alcohol for several religious ceremonies and rituals. Sex is mentioned as one among the panchamakaras and it symbolizes the fusion of Shiva and Parvathi in sahasrarapadma but many activities of adultery are committed by these fake tantric scholars by misinterpreting this concept. One could find several fake activities happening around the world through Medias. Therefore the devotees should be alert and careful and should not fall in the ditches made by these wicked Tantric scholars.

Question: -“I have a strong faith in God. Then what is the need of doing certain rituals for getting a remedy for my problems”?

If all the problems in one’s life are solved through the various rites and rituals of Tantric science one may not find any suffering people in this world. There will be limitations for everything existing in this world. We have to do our part and have to leave the rest to God. We should not sit idle thinking that God will rescue us. Each and every man is assigned certain tasks or karmas. When man fulfils his task, God will do his task.

We should not create harms or hindrances in the life of others and should lead a pious life. One should approach a Tantric scholar only for the things which he feel that he cannot solve. Only a true believer will get the full benefit and result of the remedial measures done by him. All the doshas in one’s life should be rectified scientifically. If these remedial measures are logically executed, then one will surely achieve the blessings of God.

Note: - A Tantric scholar is not the one who should give you the remedy for your problems. He is only a mediator between you and God.

Question: - Why am I not able to attain any benefits even after following certain remedial measures suggested by famous Astrologers?

We have already analyzed the various types of doshas or problems that are associated with human life. The credit of analyzing and probing into the various doshas in one’s life is entrusted in the hands of a skilled astrologer. An obvious scrutiny and clear-cut analysis of doshas enables an astrologer to prescribe the suitable remedies. Utilizing these remedial measures in an efficient way helps a devotee to attain happiness and prosperity. For example, doing the remedial measure for Shatrudosha is not merely enough for Kaivishadosha. For that one need to vomit the poisoned food material prescribed by the astrologer.

Question: - “As a priest you are doing certain rituals for rectifying the problems of many people. Based on what criteria are you doing these remedial measures? Do you have the full confidence and hope that these devotees will get a fruitful result from all these rituals”?

As per the path paved for me by former Astrologic scholars, I used to analyze the problems or doshas that surround the life of a man on the basis of the foundational principles of Astrology. The remedial measures for the various doshas are performed according to the norms and principles of Tantra-shastra, Mantric-science and Astrology. But God is the ultimate power who should give success. Your prayers and benedictions combined with my effort will surely help you to achieve a fruitful result.

Question: - “If one is born as a man, he is supposed to face happy and unhappy events and occurrences in his life. Then why should I believe in God or seek help and guidance from a priest like you”?

If you are able to able to withstand the problems in your life bravely, then you deserve honor and praise. But if you are stretching forth your hand before others for help, then you cannot claim yourself as a bold personality. If you study the culture and tradition of India, you may come across the concept of ‘Panchabhootas’ (air, water, earth, fire and space) which act as the necessary and unavoidable ingredient of human life. In olden days, man started their worship by adoring these panchabhootas. The air which sustains life was treated as Vayudeva, fire as Agnideva, and earth as mother as well as bhoomidevi. Our ancient preceptors and gurus taught us to treat “mother who gave us birth-father who brought us up-guru who imparts knowledge” as visible manifestations of God. Thus we remember, worship and praise all the factors which help us in sustaining life and helping us in reaping glory, with a thankful heart. These are factors which prove the Indian concept of God.

This is my answer to all the atheists of the world.

I swear that people like you do not have any gratitude and respect to your own mother, and you believe that the comforts you enjoy today are the results of your own hard work. I believe that people like you will turn back to God at least on your death-beds and will realize the reality and will feel sorry for the evil-deeds committed by you. But, by that time you will develop another group or community of people who believe in the same idea. I feel that such kind of a disease cannot be cured.

Question: - Does Black Magic exist?

As soon as we get up every morning we feel like hearing good music, pleasant smell (fragrance) and pleasing words. If such kind of a thing happens in the early morning, we will be able to retain that freshness and energy throughout the day. But if we start a day with cursing words and melancholic songs, the whole day will be spoiled. Thus we can say that pleasant songs and sweet fragrance can induce positive energy or spirit in a person. Likewise, melancholic songs, nasty smell and cursing words induce negative energy in a person.

The same theory is applicable to Tantra-shastra also. The rhythmic beats of an invisible power (God) is developed into letters and mantras are designed to give glory to the Almighty God. These letters are called ‘beejaksharas’. Every good discovery has a negative side. For example, software can be destroyed by a virus. Likewise, mantras are also used by some wicked people to harm others. If priests and Rishis are using mantras for the benefit of mankind, the sorcerers use it for destroying mankind.

For every sunrise there is a sunset. If there is a vegetarian, a non-vegetarian will also be there. As we find Devas and Asuras in Puranas, this world is a combination of gunas and doshas. Therefore one can understand the relevance of black magic and sorcery on the basis of this point of view.
